We had a fantastic day yesterday at our first Holiday club back in Burnham.

We hosted at The King Alfred’s School where we were lucky enough to have great facilities to use! Lots of children from local Primary Schools came along for a day of fun games and sports!

We started the day with a few warm up games for children to get to know each other which included Secret Agent tag and the colour cone game. We then got into teams and played Dodgeball before our having our first break.

After a break we then went straight into Benchball! Teams had to work together and think of tactics to get the ball across to the other bench. Before lunch we then moved onto Uni-hoc matches where lots of skill and control was shown along with some great passes and tactical play. This resulted in some very tight matches but all teams showed great sportsmanship and encouragement for each other.

Once children had a well deserved rest and refuel at lunch we went outside and split into two groups. One group played a football match and the other group did a mixture of tennis and gymnastics. Once again, during the football match, all players worked so well together and made sure the game ran fairly. The tennis players had fun rallying and doing tap up skills with some help from Megan and the gymnasts were showing us their skills which were rather impressive!

We then headed back inside to finish the day with Jedi Dodgeball. This game requires lots of thought into the tactics and each team came up with different ideas.

Throughout the day everyone showed amazing sportsmanship and teamwork. It was great to see everyone making new friends from different schools. The children all received certificates and a prize before heading home!

Keep an eye 👀 out on our social media pages as next week we will be releasing dates for the Easter Holidays! We can’t wait to see everyone!
